Portable colour control

Konica Minolta Sensing, a leading provider of colour measurement solutions, is launching a new range of spectrophotometers, the CM-17d and the basic CM-16d. As successors to the CM-700d and CM-600d, which are already being used successfully in development and production facilities in many different sectors worldwide, they set new standards in terms of operation, performance and comfort.

The vertical design and ergonomically shaped handle ensure simple, one-handed operation. For precise positioning and to avoid incorrect measurements, the CM-17d also has an integrated camera that displays a live preview of the measuring range. Wireless data transmission ensures an efficient workflow regardless of the environment or sample type.

The CM-17d and CM-16d spectrophotometers also offer a high level of instrument agreement and repeatability. The measurement data is compatible with its predecessors and is characterised by a faster measurement speed. This has been reduced by around 30 % compared to the previous model.

The CM-17d is the first portable device to be equipped with Konica Minolta's patented Wavelength Analysis and Adjustment (WAA) technology. This automatically compensates for wavelength shifts and ensures additional stability and reliability of the measurement data even in the event of temperature fluctuations or other environmental changes. Furthermore, the CM-17d's standard accessories include a charging station with an integrated zero calibration box and a storage facility for the white calibration cap, so that the device is always ready for use and can be stored safely.
